Visit the places that the Wilderness and Garden Route has to offer.

The Garden Route is a wonderful holiday destination for the whole family. The activities in this area are designed for everyone no matter what your fitness level. You can take a gentle stroll along the beach or on a forest path or sit quietly in a wooden bird-hide and discover out wealth of bird life. You will find a variety of bird species from forest, grasslands, wetland, shore and marine birds.

Whale and dolphin watching along the coast, particularly from June to November during the mating and calving season.

Activities and adventures include abseiling, hiking, paragliding, canoeing, kloofing, mountain biking, surfing, diving, water sports, hangliding, hose riding, ferry cruises angling and boating.

There are many ways to explore the Wilderness. The activities in this area are designed for everyone no matter what your fitness level.

Explore the restaurants

If you are looking for some place to dine out, the Wilderness has many beautiful restaurants in the area. Not too far from the guest house as well.

Explore the golf courses

This is a golfer’s paradise, do visit one of the various top PGA registered golf-courses in the area, at least 12 of which is 20-45minutes drive from your guesthouse and rated amongst the best 20 courses in South Africa.

Cango Caves and Ostrich farms

Cango Caves is the only show cave in Africa which offers a choice of Heritage (easy) or Adventure Tours. All tours are lead by experienced, knowledgeable and accredited Caves Guides.

Outeniqua hiking trails

The Outeniqua Hiking Trail is a 7 day trail with 8 overnight huts. Hikers do not have to hike the full 7 days; 2 or 3 days are allowed. .The trail may only be done in one direction - from West to East. The total distance of the trail is 108km. The terrain rating: Easy - Difficult

Monkeyland

There are over 500 monkeys and apes in the sanctuary, representing around 20 different species, the majority of whom live in the extensive 12-hectare Monkeyland forest. The rest can be found in large enclosures within the main forest, or at the next-door neighbours in the beautiful Birds of Eden.

Knysna Elephant Park

Park & rescue facility where guests can closely interact with elephants in their natural habitats. Over the last twenty years, the park has cared for and raised more than forty elephants. These animals include relocated animals, orphaned calves, elephants rescued from culls and ex-circus animals.
